Description: Ornate wall of stone with six bronze plaques bearing inscription and names. Plaques divided by pilasters and surmounted by oval stone reliefs with gold mosaic surround. Wall jutts into a pillar at centre and also at ends. Central pillar is surmounted by a pediment, with medallion at centre. Wall stands on curve fronted steps.
Inscription: TOP: GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS CENTRE: TO THE UNDYING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF WOOD GREEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918 1939 - 1945 MEDALLION: ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION BY THE INHABITANTS OF WOOD GREEN 1920 PLAQUES: (NAMES)
