Description: MEMORIAL COTTAGE. SINGLE STOREY BRICK BUILDING. TWO NOWY-HEADED STONE TABLETS ATTACHED TO FRONT OF BUILDING. BLACK LETTERING. RELIEFS AT TOP OF EACH TABLET OF LEAVES SURROUNDING SHIELD WITH CROSS.
Inscription: WAR MEMORIAL COTTAGE 1921/ ERECTED BY SUBSCRIPTION FROM THE/ WORKMEN OF BURRADON COLLIERY/ AND INHABITANTS OF THE DISTRICT AND/ DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF OUR DEAR/ COMRADES WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR THIS TABLET HAS BEEN ERECTED/ BY THE INHABITANTS OF THE/ DISTRICT AND DEDICATED TO/ THE MEMORY OF OUR DEAR/ COMRADES WHO SACRIFICED/ THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND/ WORLD WAR 1939-1945
