    Maintenance History
Prior to 2014 the Second World War inscription was engraved directly on the plinth. In 2014 Orton Waterville Parish Council arranged for the cleaning and refurbishment of the memorial. As part of that refurbishment, a new red granite panel, with gold-painted engraved lettering, was commissioned to cover the worn World War 2 engraving.
