- Chapel refurbished by Eric Gill in the 1920s. It contains an elaborate altarpiece, a new pulpit, reredos, seating, windows, gallery and organ. The altar is elaborately decorated with a Crucifixion scene and two scenes from the life of John the Baptist. Depiction of St John The Baptist is carved onto the pulpit. The life of Our Lord is depicted in the east window with aspects of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension. Figures of Christ in his majesty flanked by St George and St Christopher are depicted in the apse windows. In the three light window the City of God is depicted with the entrance of warriors into blessedness, meeting the Virgin with her choir, St Ambrose, St Augustine, Simeon, Zachary, David with a harp, St George and the Holy Innocence. At the top of the central light is the figure of Christ in glory. The figure of a wild ass wearing a football cap is carved at the end of one of the pews. The ends of the pews in the Chancel have the signs of St Matthew and St John. The Indian and Boer War dedicatory inscription is carved on the wooden reredos (a panel for India, two for the Boer War), those for WW1 (two panels, 12 columns of names) and WW2 (one panel and 6 columns) painted on the panelling. The reredos has recently been removed pending auction.
