Description: Elegant tablet with raised central section. Decorated as below: Raised bronze calvary. Raised bronze badges of the York and Lancaster Regiment and City of Sheffield on either side.
Inscription: (Line breaks not known) 1914 - 1919 TO THE GLORY OF GOD, AND TO THE EVER GLORIOUS MEMORY OF OFFICERS, N.C.O.S AND MEN OF THE 12TH BATTALION YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT (SHEFFIELD CITY BATTALION) WHO AT THE CALL OF DUTY AND IN THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM NOBLY MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE. THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THE SURVIVING MEMBERS OF THE BATTALION AND DEDICATED ON DECEMBER 20TH 1919
