- Board / Plaque / Tablet
- WMR Reference Number

- Description
- Oak Board with a triangular top at centre, in which the school coat of arms is painted. All lettering is painted in gold. The war dedication is across the bottom of the board [note that dux medals are a Scottish academic achievement award, nothing to do with war!).
There is also a WW2 Book of Remembrance. Because copies were issued to the families of each of the fallen it does not classify as a war memorial in its own right, but is an important part of the memorial scheme as it records the names of the WW2 fallen.

And God shall wipe away all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be
no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any
more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
And he said upon me, Write: for these words are true and faithful
And he said unto me, it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end. I will give unto him this is a thirst of the fountain of the
water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God
and he shall be my son.
Revelations Ch. 21: iv.-vi.
And into that age they shall enter, and in that house they
shall dwell, there shall be no cloud nor sun, no darknesse
nor dazzling, but one equall light, no noyse nor silence, but one
equall musick, no fears nor hope, but one equall possession,
no foes nor friends, but an equall communion and identity,
no end nor beginning; but one equall eternity.
John Donne.
