WMR Reference Number: 77372
Description: A bronze sculpture of the heraldic "lion of England" standing on top of a plinth of Cumbrian stone. The plinth stands in the centre of a circular stone pavement. There is an inscription engraved on the front face blow the regiment's insignia. The plinth has a carving of a glider on one side face. On the pavement, in front of the memorial, is a waist-high stone plinth with sloping face on which a black polished granite tablet is fixed with an unveiling inscription in gold lettering. The memorial faces to the North-West.
