    Description
    A spire cross in the form of an Eleanor tower, with a hexagonal base and the names inscribed on to the sides of the column. At the base of the cross is a lantern, also known as a Lanterne des Morts. Each face features an emblem, including: the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Artillery, the Cross of St George, Peace and Victory and the Arms of Sussex. Plaques to the memory of the fallen men of Burwash Weald are behind the wooden door.
