    Three step Portland stone base with a sandstone foundation step, which originally supported a Latin cross which presently lies in front off the base. The inscription is leaded.

    Also their/ beloved son/ Sergt. Thomas R Jackson,/ RAMC/ Who was Killed in Action/ April 4th 1918, Aged 20 years./ Greater love hath no man than this;/ that a man lay down his life for his/ friends.
