    Description
    Gravestone comprising of a roughly hewn base plinth of red granite, on top of which sits the main headstone which is also made from red granite. The top of the memorial is in the shape of a shallow arch which shoulders out on each side on a level plain.. On the side and on a small border on most of the outside of the face of the memorial the stone has been left in a rough state. Underneath the arch is an ornamental design which includes two flower heads which is etched into the stone. Most of the face of the stone is of polished granite. The inscriptions are carved into the stone and have been highlighted with black paint.

    IN LOVING MEMORY OF / CLEMENTINA KEMP / DIED AT DUFFTOWN / 11TH JUNE 1893 AGED 61. / ALSO OF HER GRAND-SON / JAMES THOMSON / FELL IN ACTION IN BELGIUM / 26TH OCT. 1917 AGED 30. / AND HER DAUGHTER / ANN DOUGLAS / DIED AT DUFFTOWN / 3RD SEP. 1938 AGED 75. / AND HER DAUGHTER / FRANCES / DIED AT CULCAIRN ALNESS / 15TH AUGUST 1948 / AGED 81 YEARS.
