    Description
    Shrine with moulded pediment and base, surmounted by a hanging light. On the base is a carved relief of Christ crucified with mourning figures. Below is an angled, glazed cabinet containing a shelf supporting the Book of Remembrance for the Second World War. Beneath this is an angled cabinet containing the Book of Remembrance for the First World War. The books are bound in red leather with gilt lettering on the covers. The books contain one name per page.

    The First World War book was produced by Truelove and Hanson & Co, Oxford Street, who showed an interest in also producing the Second World war book which they would base on the First. As the books are similar, it is likely that they did produce the Second World war book also.
