Description: Addition to black granite, upright, family gravestone on a two step granite base. The top is shouldered and curved in the centre. There is an ornate, incised, decoration on the centre of the face. The lettering is incised.
Inscription: Erected by/ JESSIE RITCHIE/IN LOVING MEMORY OF /HER DEAR HUSBAND/ ALEXANDER RITCHIE/ WHO WAS DROWNED OFF/ H.M.S."BARBARA COWIE"/ AT ROSSLARE, IRELAND, 5TH OCTOBER 1916, AGED 50 YEARS / AND THEIR ONLY BELOVED SON/ JAMES HENDRY [Ritchie]/ WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION/ ON H.M.S. "W ELLIOTT' IN THE/ STRAITS OF DOVER/ 15TH FEB. 1918 AGED 26 YEARS/.......
