Description: Wall-mounted, marble tablet with triangular header are a naval sword which rests through a wreath and is interwoven with a ribbon: the commemoration is beneath in engraved, black lettering.
Inscription: To the memory of/ [Name]/ Royal Marines/ Aged 20/ of HMS Royal George/ This tablet was erected/ by the officers and Royal Marines of his ship/ in token of their esteem and affection./ He died suddenly but not unprepared/ on the morning of April 23rd 1854 on board his ship/ off the island of Muskon/ on the eastern coast of Sweden/ where, in the parish churchyard, his remains now lie interred./ "Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not/ the son of man cometh."
