    TWO SCULPTED MARBLE PANELS IN RELIEF OF GROUPS OF CHILDREN REPRESENTING THE COMING GENERATION WHO WILL BENEFIT BY SACRIFICES MADE BY THE FALLEN. SOUTH PANEL: CENTRE GROUP SING PRAISES WHILST OTHERS HANG LAURELS AS OFFERINGS TO THE FALLEN. NORTH PANEL: CENTRE GROUP HOLD A LENGTH OF LAURELS WHILST OTHERS SING AND SOUND TRUMPETS MARBLE ORIGINALLY STAINED DEEP IVORY COLOUR WITH GOLD TESSERAE. VELLUM ROLL OF HONOUR WITH NAMES IS MOUNTED ON THE WALL EITHER SIDE OF THE FIREPLACES IN READING HALL.
