    White Hart sculpture set on a tapering plinth, base and steps. On the 12 and 6 o'clock faces are carved wreaths surmounted by a crown enclosing the dates of WW1.

    6 o'clock face: LAUS DEO/TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF HERTFORD/WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919/ALSO IN THE 2ND WORLD WAR 1939-1945/THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE. 12 o'clock face: GREATER LOVE HATH / NO MAN THAN THIS / THAT A MAN LAY DOWN / HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS/ (Names)
