    Description
Stained glass half-dome of five lights, over three metres high, fusing classical and religious symbolism which celebrates the heroism and triumph of war. The central light depicts the winged figure of Victory, who steps from a boat through the central archway of a Roman temple. She is welcomed by Roman centurions and female figures and the dove of peace flies above her head. The shields and badges of the colonies and dependencies of the British Empire are displayed within the architecture, with the royal coat of arms at the centre. The names of battles in which the fallen had taken part are listed on the two outer lights.
