2015-2016 War Memorials Trust grant of £30,000- 1) Paint applied to the bronze structure was removed to guard against paint cracking leading to water ingress, the bronze was then repatinated and tretaed with a protective microcrystalline wax 2) The original hardstanding had been removed at some date and replaced with concrete which had been becpme uneven and damaged so was replaced with granite paving. 3) The fence chains hung between granite bollards had at some point been repainted with black paint. This was replaced with a lead-grey paint 4) Light cleaning of the memorial using hand cleaning with natural bristle-brushes and localised stem cleaning 5) Localised repointing with lime mortar to replace failed mortar; also lead lettering cleaned and a missing letter reinstated.
