    Description
    A bronze plaque mounted onto a wooden backboard with a moulded wreath and projecting lamp on each side. The dedication is written in white enamel paint. The plaque is mounted onto the wall above a cabinet containing a Book of Remembrance. A small plaque with a coat of arms is on the front of the cabinet. The cabinet is set in wall panelling, with gold text on each side.

    (Wall Plaque) 1914 - 1918/ ERECTED BY/ THE OFFICERS AND WORKMEN OF THE/ EAST HAM CORPORATION IN HONOURED/ MEMORY OF THEIR COMRADES WHO FELL/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ (Names)/ "WE OWE THEM MUCH" (Cabinet) This pedestal was presented by the officers and workmen of the East Ham Corporation in memory of their colleagues who gave their lives during the World War 1939-1945 and whose names are inscribed in the book of remembrance. (Wall Panelling - Left) This book of remembrance was compiled as a record of residents of the county borough of East Ham who lost their lives during the World War 1939-1945 (Wall Panelling - Right) This book was unveiled on 8th May 1950 by the Mayor, Councillor Mrs E.M. Bruce J.P. and dedicated by the Bishop of Chelmsford the Rt. Rev. Henry Wilson D.D.
