    Octagonal step surmounted by octagonal base, octagonal plinth, tapered octagonal shaft with embattled cap and floriated cross. Incised inscription and names on the sides of the plinth. Overall height 4050mm.

    Reverend Canon Henry Arnott, Rural Dean of Beckenham (replaced Venerable Archdeacon of Rochester, who withdrew on morning of dedication due to a family bereavement). Last Post and Reveille sounded by buglers from Grenadier Guards.
