Inscription: ERECTED BY THE INHABITANTS OF/ HENBURY AND BROKEN CROSS/ IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ "GLORIOUS DEATH IS HIS, WHO FOR HIS COUNTRY FALLS"/ (Names) THESE MEN GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR/ 1939 - 1945/ (Names)/ THEIR NAMES LIVETH FOR EVERMORE

Maintenance History: 2014: CONDITION GOOD 2005: STEPS AND LOWER PART OF PLINTH NEED RESETTING. NORTHERN FACE COVERED WITH MOSS AND INSCRIPTION WEATHERED. IN 2005 FUNDING WAS BEING SOUGHT FOR RESTORATION. C2006 restored by Henbury Parish Council with aid of a grant from Friends of War Memorials.
