Description: Nowy-headed, oak frame with carved wreath in the pediment with dates to either side. The frame contains a brass plaque which has enamel lettering with the commemoration above the names in three columns. Engraved, further commemoration on the frame itself beneath that.
Inscription: Plaque - TO THE IMMORTAL MEMORY/ OF THE MEMBERS OF THE/ MACCLESFIELD SUNDAY SCHOOL WHO/ DIED FOR THEIR KING AND COUNTRY/ (Names) Base of the Frame - GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS/ THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS
