    Description
9/13 Waring Street: Four storey building. Hall of Friendship on ground floor celebrates relationship between Northern Ireland and United States forces. Walls of the hall are finished in light coloured Cliffdale marble shipped over from the United States. Two friezes of hammered copper are set into the marble walls. One shows efforts of the people of Ulster during the war such as ship-building and heavy industry. The other depicts the American forces moving through Ulster from west to east on their way towards the fighting in Europe. Beyond the Hall of Friendship is the Memorial Hall holding two leather bound remembrance books. These books rest inside a bronze casket on a block of rough hewn ulster granite. Also in the Memorial Hall is a stained glass window. Window features two columns of fire on which are superimposed the badges of various services and above which are the dates of the two world wars and a field of crosses. Window also bears images of laurel wreath and dove of peace. Upper floors of building are occupied by a lecture hall, committee rooms, and offices of the British Legion and other ex-service organisations.
