Description: Triangular shaped garden. Within it is a cross surmounting an octagonal plinth & octagonal base, all made of Yorkshire stone. The dedication is on one of the faces of the plinth and the WW1 names on the other 7 faces. The WW2 dedication and names are on a slate plaque fixed to the base on the same side as the WW1 dedication. The cross is surrounded by iron railings.
Inscription: ERECTED BY / THE INHABITANTS OF NORDEN / IN HONOUR AND EVER GRATEFUL MEMORY / OF THE MEN OF THIS DISTRICT / WHO, NOBLY FORGETFUL OF THEMSELVES, / AT THE CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY / LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM / ENDURED HARDNESS, FACED DANGER / AND FINALLY GAVE UP THEIR OWN LIVES / THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM. / AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL TIME / OF STEDFAST COURAGE / 1914-1918 / TO ALL THOSE / WHO DIED IN THE SERVICE / OF / THEIR COUNTRY 1939-1945/[names in a single column]
