    Description
    Square stone gate pillars with name tablets. Laurel wreaths embracing "1914" on left pillar and "1919" on right pillar. Sword of Sacrifice on front face of each pillar. WW1 names on inside face of pillars with a dedication tablet at the top. WW2 names of rear face of pillar with a dedication at the top. A number of War Memorials are collected together in the small park area through the gates.

    • Lancashire Evening Post - Wednesday 28 December 1921-V.C. UNVEILS WAR MEMORIAL. Oswestry War Memorial, in the form of handsome park gates, was unveiled yesterday by Col. J. V. Campbell, V.C.. assisted by Sergt. H. Whitfield and Major P. Leighton, Royal Dragoons three local war heroes.
