    Description
    Plinth surmounted by shaft and maltese cross. Inscription bronze plaques on the sides of the plinth and on the base of the front of the shaft. Whole stands on two-tier base within a flower bed. Scrolled and crosshatch design carved on the cross.

    WW1: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY / OF THE MEN OF THIS TOWN WHO FELL IN / THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919/(names)/"THEY DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE." WW2: THIS TABLET WAS ADDED/IN MEMORY OF THOSE/WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE/WORLD WAR/1939-1945/[names]/THEY DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE Below the 1st WW1 Plaque- ALSO IN GRATEFUL APPRECIATION/OF THOSE WHO RETURNED
