    Description
    Two rolls of honour in a glazed wooden frame. The two rolls are for those fallen and returned respectively and are in black calligraphy on white card. The oak frame has a frieze at the top with a carved cross within a wreath. The inscriptions on the frame are incised in upright capital Roman lettering. The calligrapher's mark is given at the bottom right of each roll.

    Main frieze: REMEMBER/ THE MEN of/ THIS PARISH/ WHO SERVED/ IN THE/ GREAT WAR Top rail: GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS/ THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS Frieze to upper roll: FALLEN Upper roll: (Names) Frieze to lower roll: SERVED Lower roll: (Names) Panel on lower rail: They shall grow not old!
