    Description
A Portland stone ashlar cross with bronze sword on the north face. The cross is raised on a two-stepped polygonal pedestal and two-stepped base. The dedication is on a Portland stone tablet attached to the north side of the base. The names are on metal plaques attached to the four faces of the pedestal. Note: The plaques were installed in the 1980s as the names had originally been carved in relief onto the stone underneath and had become illegible due to weathering. In addition, the tablets do not show in which world war those commemorated died: records suggest that 218 of those listed died in the First World War.
