Description: Two-stepped octagonal, platform-topped base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth with reverse-curved chamfering at top to form an octagonal shape. Rising from the plinth is a tall octagonal sectioned, decorative tapering shaft, topped by a lightly crenellated capital with ornate cross. Inscriptions in relief on plinth & around vertical faces of lower step with incised inscriptions around vertical faces of upper & lower steps.
Inscription: 6 o'clock plinth face : TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN / GRATEFUL MEMORY OF BRAVE / MEN OF KIBWORTH BEAUCHAMP / AND KIBWORTH HARCOURT WHO / FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-18 Eight faces of upper step : (40 NAMES in total) Three faces of lower step : ALSO IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF // THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES // IN THE WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945 / (13 NAMES in total)
