    Description
Two-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned two-stage plinth inscribed with names of those killed in First and Second World Wars. Rising from the upper plinth is a column with a square sectioned base transposing into an octagonal sectioned tapering column, capital & cross with decorative patee detail. Incised inscriptions on side faces of lower stage plinth & front upper step riser. Shaft and upper plinth came from former village cross that was dismantled by Cromwellian Roundheads. The original cross head was lost and the remains were relocated from the village green. The cross head is a new design. Arrow marks indicate where the new cross meets the older structure.
