    Description
    Three-stepped octagonal base surmounted by an octagonal sectioned dado course & plinth. Rising from the upper plinth is a tapering octagonal sectioned shaft with a short-armed, closed wheel cross. A bronze wreath encircling a shield is mounted at base of shaft. A further wreath encircles a shield mounted at centre of cross. Incised slate tablets are attached to the plinth & dado course faces. The memorial is surrounded by brick paving & the whole is enclosed within a fenced grass & garden area, accessible from the roadside pavement.
