    Description
    Opposite the Vine Cricket Club on a grassed mound accessed by three steps a rectangular base flanked on each side by another of the same size. The central base is surmounted by plinth and bronze statue of a serviceman with inverted rifle. WW1 and 'later conflicts' inscription on the plinth incised in black lettering. WW2 inscription incised in black lettering on front of the three part base. The obelisk has bronze panels depicting scenes of life in the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force.
