WMR Reference Number: 14872
Description: Rectangular cenotaph sits on a rectangular plinth all placed on top of a three-stepped rectangular base. The cenotaph is decorated with a bronze cross on one long north side and a bronze laurel wreath on the south side. The plinth is engraved with WW1 and WW2 dedications on the south and short faces and the names of the fallen are listed on a recessed bronze plaque on the north side.
Inscription: North Face, top plaque WW1: (Names)/ North Face, lower plaque WW2: 1939-1945/ (Names)/ South Face: THEY NOBLY PLAYED THEIR PART/ THEY HEARD THEIR COUNTRY'S CALL/ FOR GOD KING AND RIGHT/ THEY GAVE THEIR ALL/ West Face: 1914-1919
