Description: Brass plaque with a border of oak leaves, and at the top centrally are a pair of crossed flags surmounted by a crown. Beneath is the incised dedication, and names with regiments in two columns. The whole mounted on a stone backboard.
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF/ THE BRAVE MEN OF ALCONBURY-CUM-WESTON/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY/ DURING THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918/ (Names)/ Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori
