    Maintenance History
n September 2002 War Memorials Trust gave £250 towards hard landscaping works around the memorial. Specific work was done to raise the level of the paved area surrounding the memorial to match the pavement and to level it away towards the garden of remembrance behind to disperse water from this low-lying site as standing water was starting to become a problem. Two flower beds were filled in and the whole area repaved, making access for wheelchairs and the congregation at Remembrance Day services easier. A new fence was constructed behind the garden.; EXTENSIVELY ALTERED AFTER WW2 WHEN ADDITIONAL BASE WAS ADDED AND MEMORIAL WAS SITED IN A MEMORIAL GARDEN. HOWEVER, THE ACTUAL LOCATION DID NOT CHANGE. SITE REPAVED (1990) AND FLAG STAFF ADDED (1985)
