    Description
    A stone obelisk that stands in front of a curved wall. The obelisk is set on a stone plinth. The dedication is inscribed into the base of the stone plinth. There is a laurel wreath caved in relief on the front face of the obelisk. The curved stone wall bears twelve stone tablets: the six to the west of the obelisk presumably carry the names of the fallen from WW1 and the six tablets to the east carry the names of WW2 fallen. Each of the end tablets are blank and the other four carry the WW2 names.

    On obelisk base: IN / PROUD AND GRATEFUL / MEMORY / OF THE MEN OF / CROWBOROUGH AND DISTRICT / WHO DIED / IN THE DEFENCE / OF THEIR COUNTRY / 1914-1919. / ERECTED BY PARENTS AND FRIENDS. / "THE SOULS OF THE RIGHTEOUS / ARE IN THE HAND OF GOD." ~~~ On tablets to the west of the obelisk: (names) ~~~ On tablets to the east of the obelisk: 1939 - 1945 / ROYAL NAVY/ (names) / ARMY/ (names) // (names) / ROYAL AIR FORCE / (names)/ MERCHANT NAVY/ (name) // CANADIAN ARMY/ (names)/ US ARMY AIR FORCE / (names) / CIVILIANS / (names) // (name)
