    Description
    Parkland gifted to the town by the Earl of Dartmouth in recognition of the town's contribution to the war effort. Separately a pedestal surmounted by bronze winged female figure was added and is situated in the middle of the park. Decorative design and inscription are carved on pedestal. There is a small dedicatory plaque at the bottom part of the pedestal, with raised lettering in caps.

    Earl of Dartmouth gifted the parkland whilst the allegory was erected by public subscription. The deeds of the park were presented by H.R.H. Prince of Wales to the Mayor of West Bromwich.
