Description: THREE- STEPPED BASE SURMOUNTED BY PLINTH TAPERING SHAFT AND CROSS, ON FACE 1 AT THE TOP OF THE PLINTH THERE IS A RAISED BRONZE WREATH WITH INSCRIPTION BELOW ALSO IN BRONZE. THE COMMEMORATION ON FACE 1 OF THE PLINTH IS IN RAISED LETTERING, THE INSCRIPTIONS ON THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH ARE INCISED AND PICKED OUT IN BLACK, BEHIND AND TO THE SIDES OF THE CROSS ARE TWO LOW WALLS WITH THE WW2 NAMES AND INSCRIPTIONS ALSO INCISED AND PICKED OUT IN BLACK. BRONZE WREATH IN RELIEF AT THE TOP OF FACE 1 OF THE SHAFT
Inscription: Plinth Face 1: TO THE/ GLORIOUS/ DEAD/ THIS MEMORIAL IS ERECTED/ TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN/ PROUD AND GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THE SHIRLEY MEN WHO FELL/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 19/ AND IN THE WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945.
