Description: Large dark oak memorial surmounted by the ship's crest, wreathed. It is mounted on a pillar facing the South transept and a light oak glazed cabinet has been mounted below it to carry information and memorabilia associated with one of those who died - J T Cornwell VC (WMR 105365). The ship's name is painted in gold on a plaque above the carved dedication, which is flanked by carved wreaths. The names of those who died are painted in gold in two columns below. There is a photograph of the ship in a glazed frame under the second column of names.

To be placed under the flag carried on the ship which hangs in the Cathedral. Proposed to be placed on the opposed side of the nave to where it was previously hung so the Roll of Honour can be placed under it. ---
