HOLDEN M.A. CANTAB/ FIRST RECTOR OF THIS PARISH AND RURAL DEAN OF CHEETHAM/ WHO DIED OF WOUNDS ON THE GALLIPOLI PENINSULAR/ JUNE 4TH 1915 AGED 25 YEARS/ AND IS BURIED IN THE MILITARY CEMETERY ON CAPE HELLES/ HE WAS FOR SOME YEARS HON. ORGANISING / SECRETARY OF THE BOY SCOUTS ASSOCIATION/ FOR MANCHESTER AND DISTRICT, AND ALSO AN/ ASSISTANT MASTER AT THE MANCHESTER/ GRAMMAR SCHOOL/ "FAITHUL UNTO DEATH"/ THIS TABLET WAS GIVEN BY THE OFFICERS AND/ BOY SCOUTS OF THE NORTH CENTRAL DIVISION OF MANCHESTER, AND FRIENDS.
