    Description
    A granite monument comprising a rough hewn and rusticated tapered pillar terminated by a dressed moulded squat finial and surmounting a die and three stepped base on a concrete plinth. The 6 o'clock face of the die has a dressed, recessed panel containing an inlaid inscription in upright capital block lettering and the 6 o'clock face of the pillar bears a Nowy headed and tapered polished granite tablet with WW1 names (largely in two columns) also inlaid in upright capital block lettering. The 6 o'clock face of the steps bear five stainless steel plaques commemorating the later conflicts with black, engraved inscriptions in different styles of lettering. The whole is surrounded by a tarmacadam paving enclosed within twelve sandstone obelisk bollards connected by iron chains.
