    A horizontal oblong brass plaque on a wooden backboard. The plaque has a border of three thin incised lines, coloured black, and the incised inscription is in upright capital lettering, also coloured black. The backboard is of framed rounded moulding. Note that the current library building was NOT the one he worked in prior to WW1
