Description: FIVE STEPPED OCTAGONAL BASE SURMOUNTED BY PLINTH, SHAFT, OPEN LANTERN AND CROSS. INSCRIPTION ON METAL PLAQUES ATTACHED TO THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH AND LOWER PART OF THE SHAFT. CARVED TRACERY DESIGN AT THE TOP OF THE SHAFT AND ON THE CROSS. WREATH CARVED ON THE FRONT OF THE MEMORIAL AND ON FOUR SIDES OF THE PLINTH ARE DEPICTED CARVINGS OF A SOLDIER, SAILOR, AIRMAN AND NURSE.
Inscription: plaque 1: IN ETERNAL REMEMBRANCE OF THE MEN/ OF SOLIHULL WHO WENT FORTH AT THE/ CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY TO FIGHT IN/ THE GREAT WAR, MANFULLY THEY FACED/ HARDSHIP, DANGER, DEATH ITSELF IN THE/ CAUSE OF LIBERTY. THE NAMES OF THOSE WHO/ RETURNED NOT AGAIN ARE HERE INSCRIBED./ THEIR BODIES ARE BURIED IN PEACE/ AND THEIR NAME LIVETH UNTO/ GENERATION AND GENERATION/ ECCLUS. XLIV.14 plaque 2: IN ETERNAL REMEMBRANCE/ OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR/ LIVES IN THE WORLD WAR/ 1939 - 1945/ AND IN THE KOREAN WAR/ 1950 - 1953 OTHER PLAQUES: (NAMES)
