    Three-stepped base surmounted by plinth and obelisk. Bronze wreaths at the base of each side of the obelisk. Bronze plaques with inscriptions on each side of the plinth.

    Face 1 top plaque: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ & TO THE IMMORTAL MEMORY OF/ ALL THOSE FROM/ HOLKHAM/ WHO SERVED IN/ THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919/ SOME FELL IN BATTLE/ & SOME DIED OF WOUNDS & SICKNESS/ BUT ALL NOBLY DID THEIR DUTY/ TO THEIR KING & COUNTRY/ THIS OBELISK WAS ERECTED BY/ THOMAS WILLIAM, 3RD EARL OF LEICESTER. Face 1 bottom plaque: WORLD WAR / 1939 – 1945 Faces 2, 3 and 4: (Names)
