    Maintenance History
In 2012 the attractive garden area in which the memorial now stands was completed in its present form by members of the East Keal Gardening Club, aided by a legacy from the late Mrs Maud Gibson. In April 1946 the Parish Council agreed a tender by Mr B. Watson for the care of the war memorial grounds. It also agreed to clean and re-letter the existing WW1 inscription on the memorial, and to add the names of the fallen from World War 2. On Whit Sunday, 23/5/1920, the memorial was unveiled and dedicated.
