Description: Celtic style cross in light grey stone , on a octagonal column , below that a rectangular plinth standing on a five stepped base . The dedications are incised on the front panel of the plinth and on an additional stone on the highest step of the base . A later additional inscription is incised on face 3 of the plinth and a sword incised and coloured gold on the front face of the column .
Inscription: Original inscription either no longer visible or has been erased ON THIS CROSS RAISED TO THE GLORY/ OF GOD AND IN COMMEMORATION/ OF THE MEN OF THE PARISH OF/ TITCHFIELD WHO SERVED IN THE WAR/ ARE RECORDED THE NAMES/ OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ FOR THEIR COUNTRY 1914 - 1918/ (NAMES ILLEGIBLE) New Inscription Face 1 of plinth and step /OUR/ GLORIOUS/ DEAD/ 1914 - 1918/ ALSO THOSE COURAGEOUS/ MEN AND WOMEN/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ 1939 - 1945/ Face 3 of plinth/ RENOVATED BY/ TITCHFIELD/ BONFIRE BOYS/ 1991/

Maintenance History: GOOD CONDITION IN THAT IT WAS FULLY CLEANED AND RESTORED IN 1991. HOWEVER, A NEW BRIEF INSCRIPTION WAS CUT AND THE ORIGINAL WORDING AND LISTS OF NAMES ARE VIRTUALLY ILLEGIBLE
