Type of Memorial: Cross
WMR Reference Number: 21363
Description: A short-armed, ring cross with chamfered edges upon a tapering octagonal shaft. The face of the shaft bears a carved Sword of Sacrifice and the base of the shaft is moulded. It stands on an octagonal plinth and three step base: the names (WW1 above WW2) and commemoration are carved into the plinth.
Inscription: REMEMBER THE MEN OF Thorney Hill who fell in the Great War 1914-1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939-1945/ (NAMES)
