Description: CROSS OF POLISHED GREY GRANITE. OCTAGONAL TAPERING SHAFT SET ON OCTAGONAL PLINTH. PLINTH BEARS NAMES AND INSCRIPTION IN BLACK LETTERING. PLINTH SURMOUNTS TWO-STEPPED OCTAGONAL STONE BASE.
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND/ IN GRATITUDE TO OUR/ SONS AND BROTHERS WHO/ LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR/ THEIR KING AND COUTNRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ (NAMES)/ ALSO THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES DURING THE WAR 1939-1945/ (NAMES)/ IN DEFENCE OF THE SACRED CAUSE OF LIBERTY, CIVILIZATION AND/ RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH THEY SO GLORIOUSLY UPHELD THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED/ "GRANT THEM O LORD ETERNAL REST AND LET LIGHT PERPETUAL SHINE UPON THEM"
