    Large tablet of white marble set into brick wall surround. Wall extends outwards at base to form "shelf". The memorial is set in a paved area. Two stone vases are placed at the base of the tablet

    TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN IMPERISHABLE MEMORY OF/ THESE MEN OF OUR VILLAGE WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1919./ FOR GOD AND KING AND COUNTRY./ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS,/ THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS./ AND IN GRATITUDE TO THE/ 84 MEN WHO WENT OUT ON OUR BEHALF/ AND WHO HAVE BEEN SPARED TO COME BACK/ (17 names)/ ALSO OF THOSE WHO FELL/ IN THE WORLD WAR/ 1939-1945/ (4 names)
