    Description
    Book of Remembrance, which (according to the associated brass plaque) sits on a table that was carved by some of the parishioners who died in WW1. The hand-written volume, in a tooled red-leather binding, contains a brief biography (including military service details) of each of the Parish's casualties. Each of those biographies is on a separate page, many of which include a poignant poem written by the relevant casualty's next of kin.

    The Book of Remembrance, table and Memorial Shrine were presented by Mr and Mrs Henry de Vere Stacpoole of Stebbing. (Our record of the Shrine, which was unveiled on 10/7/1918, is WMR 22957. The Book and table element of the gift were presented at a later date).

    Post WW2: The dedication to and biographies of the six WW2 casualties were added to the Book.// c1919: The Book was presented to the Church, containing the twenty WW1 biographies.
