Description: A granite Celtic cross mounted on a three-stepped base of ruff hewn local Bargate stone. The names of the fallen are carved in Portland stone beneath the cross.
Inscription: IN UNDYING MEMORY OF THOSE FROM/THIS PARISH OF STOKE NEXT GUILDFORD/ WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES/ FOR KING AND COUNTRY HONOUR AND FREEDOM/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918

Maintenance History: Apparently the cross was dismantled and refurbished in 1989 by the Sussex Stone Ltd as part of a road improvement scheme.
